This hands-on seminar will discuss the history and development of play therapy as well as basic play therapy skills. It will explore numerous ways in which play therapy strategies can be incorporated in the therapeutic process, providing children with the opportunity to present and resolve psychosocial difficulties. Seminar attendees will learn diagnostic play themes, specific play therapy interventions and indicators for adjunctive or alternative services for treating children.

Terri Lancaster, LCPC, NCC, RPT-S, is a licensed clinical professional counselor practicing at The Mental Health Center of Western Maryland in Hagerstown, Maryland. She is also a national certified counselor and a registered play therapist-supervisor and is an active member of the Association for Play Therapy. Terri has over 28 years of experience working with children, families and community mental health.
