Nursing CareersTraining Programs for new Graduates or RNS Transitioning to Psychiatric Nursing
The Residency Program for newly graduated RNs is an individualized program supported by our clinical educators and nursing leadership. The program includes both classroom and hands-on skills application. The Residency Program starts in July and February each year..
What you will get from the program:
The Residency program meets once every other week to provide support to new nurses. The program reinforces the importance of leadership skills, time management, and safety for nurses providing behavioral health care
Learning methods consist of discussion, scenario based simulation, on the floor skills practice, electronic medical record training, and a preceptor program. Our program prepares each nurse to feel confident and competent in their transition to nursing. The program individualized to each participant’s educational needs.
The Bridge Program is an individualized training program designed to provide an experienced RN the skills for psychiatric nursing with all ages. The Bridge Program is available year round and is individualized to each participant’s educational needs.
