Adult Partial Hospitalization Program

Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) offers intensive, psychotherapeutic treatment in a less restrictive setting than inpatient care. This program allows the patient to attend a structured therapeutic program during the day and return home at night.

Upon admission to the PHP, individuals receive a thorough assessment of their psychiatric and behavioral needs. Personalized treatment plans may include individual, group, and family therapy as well as medication management and education. The program’s groups are focus-driven to help patients cope with anxiety, depression, and issues of daily life. Multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings are routinely held to review and modify the treatment plans.

Multi-disciplinary Treatment Team:

Board Certified Psychiatrist
  • Master’s Level Licensed Clinician
  • Psychiatric Nurse
  • Mental Health Associates
  • Other Brook Lane professionals as required, such as Psychologists, Chaplain,
Art Therapist, Dietitian, and/or Addictions Counselor

Generally, patients attending this Monday through Friday program are of age 18 or older. Transportation is available and can be discussed when making an inquiry. At discharge, patients leave with a plan for continued care in their community.

To insure the highest standards of quality care, Brook Lane’s PHP is reviewed regularly by the Joint Commission to maintain accreditation.

Admission Criteria

Adults appropriate for PHP include those who may have one or more of the following symptoms:
  • At risk for injurious behaviors toward self or others
  • Loss of motivation or interest in living

  • Having severe difficulty functioning in daily life
